Season three of The Secret Life of the American Teenager, an American television series created by Brenda Hampton, debuted on the ABC Family television network on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 8:00 PM. Season three regular cast members include Shailene Woodley, Kenny Baumann, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Greg Finley II, Daren Kagasoff, Megan Park, Francia Raisa, Steve Schirripa, and Molly Ringwald. Steve was formerly a reoccuring guest star but was promoted to a season regular.

After its second season's mid-season premiere was successful, ABC Family announced on January 12, 2010, that the show would be renewed for a third season, consisting of 25 episodes, the most episodes in a season to date. Season 3 will begin with 13 episodes broadcast from June to August before going on a hiatus. On February 23, 2010, it was announced that Bristol Palin would be making an appearance on the show.

For the second summer in a row, Secret Life's third season premiere stands cable’s No.1 original series/season premiere this summer. The show grabbed TV’s number one rank in the hour on the night of June 7, 2010 in core 12-34 demos, teens and females teens, and stood as cable’s No. 1 show in the hour in target 18-34 and 18-49 demos. It drew an audience of over 3.18 million viewers.
