Go Soo plays a man who was brought up by his grandmother in difficult circumstances and shows an “intelligent, masculine appeal.” His character had shared a young love with the girl played by Han Ye-seul, but through “sad circumstances,” they were forced to separate. She is the daughter of a famed doctor of Oriental medicine in a small village, although she’s always being compared to and passed over for her smarter, brighter older brother. She and Go Soo eventually reunite in their fateful love as adults.

First stills are out for the upcoming SBS series Will It Snow On Christmas, which feature star Han Ye-seul dressed up to attend her character’s engagement party.
In the drama, she is the first love to Go Soo’s character, but the two separate in their youths and she becomes engaged in this scene to Song Jong-ho. Go Soo attends the ceremony to take the place of a sick friend and sees her there, shocked to recognize his childhood friend. These scenes were filmed on October 26 at an outdoor cafe in Yangju, Kyeonggi-do.
A year after her last drama (Tazza), Han Ye-seul is coming back with a new series in SBS’s upcomingWill It Snow On Christmas? [크리스마스에 눈이 올까요?] and the actress recently gave her impressions on the role.
She plays a cheerful character who can’t accept injustice and whose hot temper often causes her to interfere. Han said of the role, “The Ji-wan character as created by writer Lee Kyung-hee is a lovable person who makes you feel happy, and who overcomes pain with optimism.” Han had wanted to take on another role after Tazza, “but the circumstances weren’t right, so I ended up taking a break.” However, she casts the break in a positive light, saying that as a result, “It feels like I’m eating delicious food after holding back for a long time.”
In Christmas, Han’s younger self will be portrayed by young actress Nam Ji-hyun — who, by the way, played the younger self of one of Han’s best friends, Han Ji-hye, in East of Eden. Han Ye-seul said of her co-star, “When I heard Ji-hyun would be playing my childhood character, I felt really relieved. I was able to connect the Ji-wan character that Ji-hyun portrayed softly and smoothly.”
The drama is directed by PD Choi Mun-seok of What Happened in Bali and writer Lee Kyung-hee of I’m Sorry, I Love You; it also marks the drama return project for Go Soo after four years away from television. It also stars Sunwoo Sun (Queen of Housewives) and Song Jong-ho (Cain & Abel).
