Plot

Capt. Takayuki Koramoto (Hiroshi Tamaki) leads a Japanese submarine as it engages an American destroyer off the coast of Okinawa during the waning days of World War II.

2. "Last Operations Under the Orion" was filmed with the joint cooperation of the JSDF and U.S. Navy. For the U.S. destroyer, the "USS Slater" moored on the Hudson River in Albany, NY and the "USS Hurst" now under Mexican ownership were used.
