Taiwan pop star Ming Dow's film "More Than Close" is set to be shown on August 13.
After a successful performance in the film "Monga", Ming Dow took on a similar character in this upcoming flick, which has lots of fight scenes for him.
Ming Dow plays a boxer in the film. In order to help him have some feeling for boxing, director Cheng Hsiao Tse invited dozens of professionals from the boxing associations at some Taiwan universities to be Ming Dow's training partners.
Taiwan actor Peng Yuyan (or Eddie), actress and singer Amber Kuo and Chinese mainland actress Yuan Xinyu (or Renee) co-star in the film. The film tells a story that happened at a campus boxing association. A boxer with memory loss (Ming Dow) is found by the association's chief on the street and then persuaded to join the team. Meanwhile, an admirer of the boxer asks to be his training partner, in order to help the boxer find his lost memory. However, the chief who found the boxer is a competitor as well as a good teacher. He is trapped in a struggle.
The film is scheduled to hit screens three days before Chinese Valentine's Day, i.e. July 7 according to the lunar calendar.
