The Three Musketeersis a 2011 3D action - adventure film . A steampunk -influenced reinterpretation of the novel of the same title by Alexandre Dumas , the filmwas released in Germany, Austria and Switzerlandon September 1, 2011, and is scheduled for U.S. release on October 21, 2011.
The hot-headed young D'Artagnan along with three former legendary but now down on their luck Musketeers must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.
