#5 in the Whispering Corridors (Yeogo goedam) horror series is set to be released in Korea sometime in May. The release schedule is only tentative. Like a lot of Asian horror film series, "Whispering Corridors" doesn't feature re-occurring cast members or storylines. Rather the series takes its name from its similar background, in this case "Women's High School" (which is the literal translation of (Yeogo goedam). Part 3 (Wishing Stairs) and Part 4 (Ghost Voice) were utter crap (imo) and instantly forgettable. Part 2 (Memento Mori) is true gem, more so for its lesbian storyline than the horror aspects of the film. Part 1 (Whispering Corridors) is reported to have been a strong film as well.
Another great thing about the "Whispering Corridors" series is the many new actresses that would make their debuts and go on to have great success. Part 1 featured the debuts of Jin-hee Park and Kang-hie Choi in supporting roles, Part 2 the debut of Hyo-jin Kong, Min-sun Kim, and Yeh-jin Park. Part 3 debut of Ji-hyo Song, Han-byeol Park. Lastly, Part 4 featured the debuts of Ye-ryeon Cha & Ok-bin Kim. Main cast members for Part 5 also features 3 actresses making their debuts and 2 who have had only limited supporting roles in the past. Detailed cast member lists for Part 5 can be found on the wiki.
