Yuki & Nina (ユキとニナ / Yuki to Nina), aka Yuki et Nina, is a film co-written and co-directed by filmmakers Hippolyte Girardot and Nobuhiro Suwa.
In the film, a 9-year-old girl named Yuki (Noë Sampy) discovers her parents are on the verge of separating. Her father is French and her mother is Japanese, and she knows that their separation will mean that she’ll be forced to move to Japan, leaving behind everything she knows in Paris—including her best friend, Nina (Arielle Moutel). Yuki and Nina come up with a plan to run away to the forest in the hopes that it will force Yuki’s parents closer together.
